Mainz Materials Simulation Days 2015 -
Non-Equilibrium Processes in Soft Matter
June 10-12, 2015
The 6th Mainz Materials Simulation Days 2015 attracted more than 110 participants from all over the world. It gathered scientists from a wide range of disciplines, from theoretical physics to computational chemistry, biophysics, engineering, and applied mathematics. This year's MMSD focused on Non-equilibium Processes in Soft Matter, where speakers and poster-presenters discussed recent advancements in stochastic thermodynamics, as well as the use of coarse-grained models to describe dynamical processes, and algorithms to extract kinetic information from atomistic simulations. Lively exchange with the audience enabled a critical assessment of the state-of-the-art of these topics. We hope that all our participants enjoyed their time in Mainz and we look forward to the next installment of this workshop in 2017 (June 12 - 14, 2017).
