Postdoctoral Position: Synthesis of Amphiphilic Emitting Dyes with tunable Singlet and Triplet States
A postdoctoral position in synthesis of amphiphilic emitting dyes is available at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in the Physical Chemistry of Polymers Department, Prof. Dr. Katharina Landfester, (http://www.mpip-mainz.mpg.de/physical_chem_of_polymers). We are looking for an unaided, motivated organic chemist with experience in synthesis of both, fluorescent and phosphorescent dyes. Additional experience in the synthesis of amphiphilic organic compounds is desirable. A successful applicant should be able to perform also routine luminescent measurements and prepare samples for complex photophysical experiments. Applicants should hold a PhD degree and have a strong background in organic synthesis, physical chemistry and/or biochemistry. The initial contract will be for one year, with possible renewal for up to three years. Salary will be based on previous experience according to TVöD guidelines.
Interested scientists should send complete application, including a statement of research interests, CV and recommendation letters electronically to Prof. Dr. K Landfester (email@example.com) and Dr. S. Balouchev (firstname.lastname@example.org).
