<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Dr. Zhong-Shuai Wu is the first distinguished winner of the Carbon Journal Prize 2013. </strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;" align="left">Congratulation Dr. Zhong-Shuai Wu on winning the Carbon Journal Prize 2013 for Young Carbon Scientist. The prize is annually sponsored by Elsevier and the publisher of Carbon since 2013. Dr.Wu was selected by a committee of senior carbon scientists from a large pool containing many strong candidates all over the world. Dr.Wu did his excellent PhD thesis under the advisorship of Prof. Hui-Ming Cheng at the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China.&nbsp;He was invited to present his Ph.D work and received the award at the International Carbon Conference on July 18, 2013 in Rio de Janeiro. Dr. Wu is now a Postdoc Researcher working with Prof.Dr. Xinliang Feng and Prof.Dr. Klaus M&uuml;llen at the MPI-P.&nbsp;&nbsp;We congratulate him on this very visible international award and hope he will continue to contribute to carbon science as he moves forward in his career.</p>
