Dr. Maximilian Kreiter

Maximilian Kreiter studied physics at the University of Mainz and received his Diploma in 1997. In 2000 he received his PhD from the University of Mainz for his work on surface plasmons on metallic diffraction gratings in the group of Prof. W. Knoll. From 2000 to 2001 he joined the group of Prof. U. Wild at the ETH Zürich working on scanning confocal optical microscopy. In 2001 he returned to the MPI-P to work on electrical and optical properties of metal-organic hybrid nanostructures. His activities are directed towards new approches for the generation of nanoscopic structures based on self-organisation and on their physical characterisation by single-object optical microscopy and scanning-tunnelling microscopy.
