International Workshop on Scanning Probe Microscopy for Energy Applications 2011
Mainz, June 08-10, 2011

Following a highly successful first conference with over 100 attendees, the 2nd Int’l Workshop on Scanning Probe Microscopy (SPM) for Energy Applications at Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Mainz will focus on sharing new and innovative research involving characterization of the microscopic mechanisms underpinning solar cell, battery, fuel cell operations, and materials used for alternative energy applications at the nanometer to micron range. Recent advances/techniques in SPM/AFM used to characterized energy relevant materials and systems will also be addressed. The three-day meeting will include invited/contributed talks and a poster session. An equipment lab and tutorial will be held on the last day for demonstration of recently-developed dynamic and multi-spectral SPM modes.

This workshop is a follow up of workshops held Oak Ridge 2010.
