PhD position is available immediately at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research, Mainz (http://www.mpip-mainz.mpg.de).
The research project concerns combining atomistic simulations, systematic coarse-graining, and mean-field theory with quantum modeling of charge transport properties of organic light emitting diodes and solar cells. The project will be performed within the Spitzencluster initiative ``Innovation Lab'' (http://www.innovationlab.biz) in close collaboration with University of Karlsruhe and BASF and offers a competitive salary.
Applicants should hold a Master or equivalent degree, and should have a strong background in physics, physical chemistry or theoretical chemistry. A strong interest in multidisciplinary research is required. Good knowledge of the English language, both spoken and written, is essential.
