January 2026 - Fantastic talk by Prof. Dr. Ute Hellmich 👏

In her lecture “Regulation through disorder” at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research, she showed how intrinsically disordered regions are central to TRP channel regulation, with a fascinating focus on the highly polymodal TRPV4 channel. A great example of how structural “disorder” is key to biological function. Wonderful to see Ute continuing to push this exciting field forward at Friedrich Schiller University Jena.
