Ayse was a PhD in our group, where her research centered the structural analysis of collagen in unprecedented resolution! She combined state of the art experimental methods with modern computational tools to analyse the structure function relationship of this versatile protein. 

Her doctoral hat perfectly reflects both her scientific journey and her vibrant personality - featuring cryo-EM, conference memories, social group events, and the places that shaped her along the way, from Heidelberg and Amsterdam to her home, Istanbul.

We couldn’t be prouder of her remarkable achievement, a true reflection of her dedication and hard work, and wish her all the best. May this be the start of many exciting new chapters.
