NEXUS Research Group Anna Ermakova
The NEXUS research group of Anna Ermakova funded by Carl Zeiss Foundation aims for the development of novel quantum sensors for more precise investigation of living systems. The research "Quantum sensors for cellular metabolism study" focuses on color centers in nanodiamonds that can be used as sensors of temperature and magnetic field inside living cells. Particularly, the main goal is the visualize metabolic processes at the single living cell level by diamond color centers. This project includes a multidisciplinary approach, where physics, chemistry, and biology work together.
