Droplets on soft surfaces are surrounded by a wetting ridge which contributes to friction when a drop slides over the surface. To gain more insight into the dissipation mechanisms, I investigate the evolution of the wetting ridge by confocal microscopy and friction force measurements.
Anna studied Biological Chemistry at University of Applied Science Mannheim and did their bachelor thesis in colloid chemistry, focusing on the dye uptake of inverse mini-emulsion droplets and nanogels. In September 2021 she started her Master thesis in Biomedicine.
