Metal-directed self-assembly of biomacromolecules in living systems
Zhixuan was born and raised in Nanning, China. He studied chemistry at Sun Yat-sen University and obtained his B.S. in 2013. He moved to the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, USA, where he completed his Ph. D. research on supramolecular coordination complexes with emergent functions under the supervision of Professor Peter J. Stang. After a short postdoc stay at the same group, he moved to German in March 2019 and joined the group of Professor Tanja Weil at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research as a postdoctoral researcher. He was awarded a Humboldt Research Fellowship on March 2020 to continue his postdoctoral research.
