Main Focus

I would like to design and synthesize elegant peptide-based synthetic platforms capable of controlling supramolecular nanostructure assembly within living cells to modulate cellular metabolism.

Curriculum Vitae

Yong studied supramolecular chemistry at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research and obtained his PhD in April 2025 under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Tanja Weil and Dr. David Y.W. Ng. In May 2025, he became a postdoctoral researcher in the same group. His research focuses on controlling and resolving peptide-based supramolecular assemblies within living cells, as well as regulating the formation of peptide-based condensates in cells.
