Main Focus

As part of the BioCore Team, I aim to ensure a smooth daily routine in our S2 laboratories while supporting students in understanding biological concepts and applying their chemistry knowledge to biological systems. In addition to training students, our team offers service measurements for cell culture assays as well as confocal imaging.

My research interest lies in creating and optimizing existing protocols of workflows related to visualizing synthetic nanostructures and compartments in living cells. To accomplish this, I specialize in the correlative light and electron microscopy of cells.

Curriculum Vitae

Leon completed his bachelor’s degree in biology at the Georg-August-University Göttingen in 2019. He then pursued a master’s degree in developmental, neural, and behavioral biology, with a focus on developmental biology and immunology, also at the University of Göttingen, which he successfully completed in 2022. In April 2023, Leon joined the BioCore facility in Tanja Weil’s group.
