Organizational Chart

The Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research consists of a total of seven department headed by six directors. In the departments, the group leaders and their teams conduct research on interdisciplinary projects. Cooperation projects, both with other internal groups and with external partners from research and industry, play an important role.
In addition to the scientific groups, non-scientific service groups such as workshops, IT etc. support the research at the institute.

The organisational chart currently has six departments. Since 1 January 2026, the institute has seven departments, thus the organisational chart will be updated shortly.
