Association of Friends and Supporters of the MPI for Polymer Research
Who are we?
We are an association for everyone who feels connected to the MPI for Polymer Research.The association was founded in February 2025 to provide financial support for the many good ideas for promoting young scientists and to strengthen the ties between our alumni and former employees and the MPIP.
We expressly welcome the initiative of current and former employees, alumni and scientists of the MPIP.
What are our goals?
Our mission is to connect current, former and future employees of the MPI for Polymer Research of all nationalities and ages.
Therefore, we would like to provide the best possible support to current employees, alumni and former employees of the MPI for Polymer Research in all projects that benefit the community and cooperation at the MPIP, and in particular the promotion of young scientists.
How do we intend to implement this?
With your donations, we would like to provide support in various areas:
In addition to established awards for scientific publications (such as the annual poster prize for young researchers), it should also be possible to implement new initiatives, ideas and events at the MPIP or for the MPIP.
In the area of alumni relations, we would like to help build a network, with a focus on the exchange of information and experience between current and former members of the MPIP.
Our former employees should have the opportunity to maintain contact with current employees and stay connected to the research at the MPIP.
How can you support our project?
Choose between passive membership (without voting rights at the general meeting) or active membership (with voting rights) in our association. Choose your own annual membership fee and enable us to optimise our financial planning by setting up a direct debit.
