Colbuilder

Collagen is one of the most abundant protein in mammals and a key structural component of connective tissues like skin, bones, and tendons. While crucial for understanding tissue mechanics and disease, generating accurate molecular models of collagen fibrils has remained challenging due to their complex hierarchical structure. ColBuilder is a software tool that generates accurate atomic-level models of collagen fibrils for molecular simulations. It allows precise control over sequence composition, crosslinking patterns, and fibril dimensions. The tool's accuracy has been validated through molecular dynamics simulations, showing excellent agreement with experimental measurements.
