Curriculum Vitae

Konrad studied Biomedical Chemistry at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz (Germany) and received his master’s degree in 2019. During his time as a master student he joined the group of Prof. Damien Thévenin at Lehigh University, Bethlehem (USA) as a pre-doctoral research fellow and worked on the targeting of cancer cells using pH-responsive peptides. For his Master thesis Konrad joined BioNTech RNA Pharmaceuticals in Mainz (Germany) under supervision of Dr. Heinrich Haas. The thesis focused on the development of lipid- and polymer-based nanoparticles for delivery of mRNA into cells. Konrad started his PhD in the group of Prof. Tanja Weil in May 2020 and works on strategies for controlled intracellular assemblies of bioactive architectures.
