Dr. Zijie Qiu

Zijie Qiu was born in Guangdong China in 1991. He received his Bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Fudan University in 2014. In the same year, he joined Prof. Ben Zhong Tang’s group at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) as a graduate student in the Department of Chemistry. After obtaining his Ph.D. degree, he joined the Müllen group in October 2018 for postdoctoral research. He received the Alexander von Humboldt scholarship in July 2019 and started the scientific project leader position in April 2020. His research focuses on the syntheses and applications of organic functional materials, including nanographenes, helicenes and polymers.
