Dr. Markus Mühlinghaus

Markus Mühlinghaus was born in Wuppertal, Germany in 1990. He studied chemistry at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal where he received Bachelor´s (2013) and Master´s (2015) degree. While working in the group of Prof. Ullrich Scherf he was focusing on the synthesis of conjugated polyelectrolytes and their applications in organic electronics (e.g. surface modification of electrode materials). He received Dr. rer. nat. in 2019 and then joined the group of Prof. Klaus Müllen at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research (MPI-P). Markus´ current research interests are synthesis of laterally extended graphene nanoribbons as well as doped graphene materials. He is also interested in the development of structurally new graphene materials.
