Svenja Weigold

Svenja Weigold was born in Baden-Baden in 1995. She studied Chemistry at the Ruprecht-Karls-University Heidelberg. Before she received her Master's degree in 2020, she gained work and research experience as an intern at BASF SE in Ludwigshafen in the departement of Advanced Materials and Systems Research. In her Master thesis she worked on Palladium-catalyzed intramolecular cyclization of Triisopropylsilylethynyl substituted acenes under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Uwe Bunz. In June 2020 she joined the group of Prof. Dr. Klaus Müllen at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research (MPI-P) for her PhD thesis to work on the bottom-up synthesis and characterization of graphene sections and GNRs with well-defined defect structures in solution and on surface and on the synthesis and characterization of amphiphilic (Janus) dendrimers.
