Christine Maria Hellmeister
Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research
Main Focus
As BioCore
Team, we aim to ensure a smooth daily routine in our S2 laboratories while
supporting students in understanding biological concepts and applying their
chemistry knowledge to biological systems.
In addition
to training students, we offer service measurements for standard cell culture
assays as well as confocal imaging.
My personal focus lies in microbiology, immunostaining and immunoblotting, as well as nanodiamond-based quantum sensing in cells.
I also serve as project leader for genetic safety and I am responsible for research data management for AK Weil.
Curriculum Vitae
Christine obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Biology from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, completing her Master’s degree in 2014 with a focus on molecular biophysics and microbiology. In 2018, she received her PhD in Microbiology from JGU Mainz.
Following her doctorate, she joined the group of Tanja Weil at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research as a postdoctoral researcher. Since 2020, she has been working as a lab manager in the BioCore core facility.
