Injectable, next-generation adaptive hydrogels (InGel-NxG)

ProMatLeben – Polymers

The InGel NxG project is funded by the BMBF under the ProMatLeben – Polymers initiative. It aims to develop an advanced, modular biomaterial consisting of injectable hydrogels for the treatment of inflammatory joint diseases. Based on an established hydrogel product, already used in patients, the consortium is developing a responsive platform for the localized release of drugs in inflamed joints.

This work is a collaboration between industry partners, TETEC AG and HOT Screen GmbH, and research institutions, MPI-P and University of Applied Sciences Albstadt-Sigmaringen, combining their expertise in chemical modification, applied material science, biotechnology, and biomedical engineering.
