Albin Lahu
Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research
Main Focus
Catalytically active peptide assemblies
Curriculum Vitae
Albin received his master's degree in Biomedical Chemistry at Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz (Germany) in 2023. During his studies, he spent a semester abroad at the University of Toronto (Canada). There, he joined the group of Prof. Dr. Mark Nitz, working on the synthesis of metal-containing, non-natural amino acids for application in Mass Cytometry.
In 2023, Albin worked on his master thesis in the group of Prof. Dr. Tanja Weil, focusing on the modulation of supramolecular packing in intracellular peptide assemblies. Post-graduation, Albin participated in a two-month research internship, funded by Erasmus+, collaborating with Prof. Dr. Sevdije Govori at the University of Prishtina (Kosovo). There, he focused on the synthesis and characterization of novel Coumarin-derivatives.
In January 2024, Albin started his PhD in the group of Prof. Dr. Tanja Weil, focusing on catalytically active peptide assemblies.
