Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research
Ana Mateos Maroto obtained her PhD degree in November 2020 at the Department of Chemical Physics of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Madrid, Spain) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Francisco Ortega Gómez and Dr. Fernando Martínez Pedrero. During her PhD she worked on the design of new platforms for encapsulation and transport of active compounds, and their characterization from a physico-chemical perspective. Since June 2021 she is working at the Department of Physical Chemistry of Polymers of the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research (MPI-P) as a postdoctoral researcher. Her research focuses on the development of liposome formulations and the surface functionalization of extracellular vesicles as part of the European BOW Project.
