Confocal Laser Scanning Microscopy
Laser scanning confocal microscopy (LSCM) is an optical technique that provides three-dimensional, high-resolution, non-destructive imaging of transparent samples. Our laboratories are equipped with several commercial and self-built setups tailored for different applications. In addition to the conventional LSCM we are using also two photon laser scanning microscopy, second harmonic generation microscopy, fluorescence life time imaging, etc. Currently we apply LSCM to study wetting of super liquid repellent surfaces, dewetting of polymer films, dynamics of wetting, formation of lipid and polymer vesicles, etc.
