A collaboration between departments at the MPIP, AMOLF and the University of Würzburg has revealed the differences and similarities of the photoconductive properties between carbon nanotubes and graphene nanoribbons. Photoexcitation produces short-lived mobile electrons in both carbon nanostructures, with higher conductivity in the tubes.more
